ACOTAR Book 7

Born in New York City and raised in the world of books, Sarah's love for storytelling was ignited early on. She spent her childhood exploring fantastical realms through the pages of her favorite novels, drawn to stories that explored complex characters and their journeys toward self-discovery. That same passion for vibrant worlds and powerful characters is at the heart of Maas's writing today. Her imagination is boundless, but it’s the emotional core of her characters—fierce, flawed, and deeply human—that truly captivates her readers.

Maas's journey into writing wasn't a straight path. She began her career in the world of fan fiction, a space where she first honed her craft and explored her signature blend of fantasy, romance, and high stakes. Her debut series, Throne of Glass, introduced readers to Celaena Sardothien, a character whose fierce determination and vulnerability would lay the foundation for Maas's literary style—complex heroines, deep emotional arcs, and thrilling plots that keep readers coming back for more.

But it was with A Court of Thorns and Roses that Maas reached an even wider audience, weaving a tale of faeries, power, and love, alongsid

The Next ACOTAR Book (A Court Of Thorns And Roses Book 6)

Among the massively popular series that Sarah J. Maas has written is A Court of Thorns and Roses (a.k.a. ACOTAR), a romantasy series that follows a young human woman who finds herself brought into the neighboring land of Prythian, where the fae rule and reside in various courts. As it happens, things aren’t exactly peaceful there, and young Feyre finds herself immersed in all of what’s going on — including danger, drama, romance and beings both good and evil with centuries of history behind them. It’s a lot and, well, all of it is amazing.

There's Only 1 Way The Next ACOTAR Book Can Top Nesta's Redemption Story

Sarah J. Maas filled the A Court of Thorns and Roses books with dramatic reveals; the author is also not one to shy away from creating complex characters, developing complicated dynamics that are woven throughout the narrative. These complex relationships highlight powerful themes within this story, including second chances, the importance of family, and self-discovery, all of which contribute to an overarching motif of redemption. Due to this, there are few antagonists in any Maas book who are too far gone to be redeemed.

Maas has managed to transform from antagonistic, selfish characters into heroes. Nesta Archeron is a great example of this, widely disliked until A Court of Silver Flames, which dove into her personal journey. However, Maas could subvert expectations again and repeat the success of ACOSF by finally focusing on Tamlin's redemption arc in the next ACOTAR book. Furthermore, given how terrible Tamlin's actions are in the series and how problematic he is as a character, his redemption would be an even more impressive and interesting feat if executed properly.
