Princess kate will miss the state banquet next week
The Princess of Wales thrilled royal fans when she wore Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara at the state banquet held to honor French president Emmanuel Macron last week, marking her first tiara appearance since 2023. But on Monday, July 14, Buckingham Palace announced that another lavish state banquet will be held in just two months when President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump visit the U.K.
While news of their unprecedented second state visit has been swirling over the past few months, the palace has now set an official date, with the couple heading across the pond from Sept. 17 through 19. Like Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron, The King and Queen will host the president and first lady at Windsor Castle instead of Buckingham Palace.
On July 8, the Prince and Princess of Wales joined King Charles and Queen Camilla for a ceremonial welcome during the French state visit, and royal fans should expect the same when the U.S. president arrives in September. The King and Queen will also host a glittering state banquet in honor of their American guests—and that means tiaras.

Here’s When You Can Expect Princess Kate to Make Her Next Public Appearance
Princess Kate may make her next return to the public spotlight as soon as next week.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla are set to host the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his wife, Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, for a state visit that will last from Tuesday, December 3, to Wednesday, December 4.
In the past, Kate has regularly welcomed foreign dignitaries to the United Kingdom—and this visit will be no different. A royal source tells Bazaar that the Princess of Wales is confirmed to attend“some elements of next week’s state visit,” although “she will not attend the State Banquet.”
Confirmed appearances include the morning of December 3, when Kate and Prince William will welcome the Amir and Sheikha Jawaher to their home and, later, join the couple for their ceremonial welcome at London’s Horse Guards Parade and a subsequent carriage procession down the Mall leading to Buckingham Palace. Kate is not currently expected to participate in any events on December 4.

Kate Middleton Will Take Part in a State Visit Next Week
King Charles is hosting the Amir of the State of Qatar for a State Visit next week on December 3 and 4. And today, Buckingham Palace has announced that Kate Middleton will be among the royals taking part in the official welcome of the Amir and his wife.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Wales will greet The Amir and Sheikha Jawaher at their residence, on behalf of The King, on Tuesday morning,” Buckingham Palace said. “The Prince and Princess of Wales will travel with Their Highnesses to Horse Guards Parade, where The Amir and Sheikha Jawaher will receive a Ceremonial Welcome.” Kensington Palace has said, however, that the Princess is not expected to be at the State Banquet that evening.
The fact that Kate is taking part in the State Visit is a development from June this year when she did not participate in the State Visit for the Emperor and Empress of Japan. Then, she was receiving chemotherapy, which she announced in September that she had completed.

Why Princess Kate is missing from glittering state banquet
Princess Kate will not attend the state banquet at Buckingham Palace tonight alongside her husband Prince William and other senior members of the Royal Family.
The Princess of Wales, 42, returned to royal duty earlier today for the first time in a number of weeks to greet Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani on their articulate visit to the UK, along with her husband Prince William.
The Prince and Princess of Wales then accompanied the couple to the Horse Guards Parade, where The Amir and Sheikha Jawaher received a Ceremonial Welcome and were formally greeted by The King and Queen.
Princess Kate was then later spotted again in the carriage procession on the way back to Buckingham Palace.
While Kate has been at the daytime events today, she will not attend the state banquet tonight as she is only returning to royal duties gradually following the end of her chemotherapy treatment in September.

Princess of Wales will greet visitor - but will not attend state banquet later, Kensington Palace has said
The Princess of Wales is set to play a role in the Emir of Qatar’s state visit to the UK next week. Kate, who is recovering from cancer, will join her husband the Prince of Wales in greeting Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the first of his three wives, Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, at Kensington Palace on December 3.
William and Kate are then due to travel with the pair to Horse Guards Parade, where they will receive a ceremonial welcome before meeting the King and Queen. Presentations will be made, a royal salute will occur and the Qatari national anthem is set to be played.
The Emir and Sheikha Jawaher will join Charles and Camilla and William and Kate in a carriage procession along The Mall to Buckingham Palace, where they will be met by a second guard of honour.
However, Kate will not attend the grand state banquet hosted by the King at Buckingham Palace in the evening, Kensington Palace said. The princess, 42, has made just a handful of public appearances s
